Anti-long march petition claims Imran Khan wants to foment chaos

LAHORE- The hearing of the petition that seeks to prevent Imran Khan’s August 14 long march has been adjourned by the Lahore High Court (LHC) till the first week of August.

Justice Khalid Mehmood took up the petition for hearing today. The petitioner Muhammad Kamran raised the plea that Imran Khan wanted to create chaos and anarchy in the country by staging the long march on Pakistan’s birth date; the idea that despite being a member of the National Assembly, Khan wanted to sabotage democracy.

This is a breach of the rights of the citizens under the public representation act and under the constitution. The court has directed the petitioner to provide more arguments if he seeks to maintain the petition.
