PESHAWAR - Activist of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) staged a protest demonstration against military operation in North Waziristan Agency and demanded of the government to stop this operation immediately.The protest demonstration was led by Provincial Information Secretary JUI-F Abdul Jalil Jan and district Peshawar General Secretary Amanullah Haqqani. The protesters while holding banners and placards chanted full throated slogans against the government and said that this military operation has been launched on the directives of the United States. They warned this operation would bring chaos and lawlessness in FATA as well in settle areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They said that if the demands of JUI-F grand jirga had been followed by the government, there would have been peace in FATA and North Waziristan Agency. They condemned the arrest of FATA residents in settle areas and stressed the government not to tease the peaceful citizen of the country. They said that there are reports that some innocent people have been targeted in the bombardment of jet fighters.They demanded of the government to relax curfew in North Waziristan Agency in order to ensure the peaceful migration of the affected people to safer places.
