KARACHI: A day after Amjad Sabri was gunned down, a high level meeting presided by Director General Rangers Sindh Major Gen. Bilal Akbar was held where the growing wave of terrorism in the city came under discussion.
During the meeting it was decided that in order to prevent target killing in the city an unbiased operation against all terrorists and their militant wings will be launched.
After the meeting DG Rangers Sindh met Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah at the CM House.
In the meeting Amjad Sabri’s murder came under discussion, sources said. The chief minister directed DG Rangers Sindh to step up the Karachi operation.
Rangers on Thursday took hold of CCTV footage from Sabri’s residence.
The geo-fencing of the incident was completed and police released a sketch of the suspect.
During the initial investigation, it was revealed that the ammunition used in the incident was never used before.
