3 dead in Balochistan shootings

QUETTA - Three people, including a jail warden were killed and another wounded in two separate incidents of firing in Quetta and Machh on Tuesday.
According to police, armed clash erupted between two groups over a piece of land in Eastern Bypass area of Quetta near cattle market.
As a result, two persons identified as Muhammad Akbar and Fazal-ur-Rehman were killed and one Babu sustained serious injuries. Police and other law-enforcement agencies rushed to the site after the incident and cordoned off the area.
The deceased and injured were moved to Civil Hospital Quetta. The incident spread panic amongst the people in the area. Police registered a case against unidentified people and started further investigation. In the second incident, a jail warden was shot dead in Machh, some 60 km southeast of here.
Police said unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate firing on Shaukat Ali and fled from the scene after committing the crime. Resultantly, he received multiple bullet wounds and died instantly. Police said investigation into the killing was underway to ascertain motive behind the killing, however, it could be a case of target killing. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack till filing of this report.
