Paramedics rally for service structure

MULTAN - The paramedical staff of Nishtar Hospital went on strike against absence of their service structure and staged a protest demonstration here at the main gate of the hospital on Tuesday. The protesting paramedics were also joined by the nurses, who assembled up on the gate and carried out full throated sloganeering against Punjab Government. They were also holding placards and banners inscribed with their demands and slogans.
Talking to the journalists, they said that the paramedics were considered backbone of health structure in the province but they were subjected to vicious exploitation by denying service structure to them. They lamented that they were deprived of promotions and increase in salary because of absence of service structure. “We’re highly worried on this state of affairs and we’re determined to press the government to accept our genuine demands,” they added. They asked the government to issue their service structure and implement the service structure of nurses that was already approved. “Otherwise we’ll be forced to go on strike for an indefinite period,” they warned.
