New Delhi: Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has said that Pakistan's spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) deal with Afghanistan's National Directorate of Security (NDS), was based on wrong assumptions.
"What Pakistan wanted was to take assurance and pressurize Afghanistan that they will not allow their territory, to be used for any security related work by India. That is the crux of it. This is based on a faulty assumption that India probably uses Afghan soil or Afghan nationals, for its security purposes," Doval told the media.
The ISI and NDS had earlier signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 'intelligence sharing and complimentary and coordinated intelligence operations'.
