Weather turns pleasant as KP, Punjab receive rainfall

ISLAMABAD: Courtesy spells of rainfall today turned the weather pleasant for residents of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other surrounding areas.

The rainfall served as a respite from the sweltering heat, as the weather turned pleasant and the temperature dropped a few degrees. Azad Kashmir, Peshawar, Gujrat and Swat also recorded rainfall.

Multan, Bannu, D.I. Khan, Larkana, Zhob and Sukkur are also expected to receive scattered rainfall whereas FATA, Azad Kashmir, Islamabad, GB and northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to receive rainfall again in the next 24 hours.

The Met department has predicted hot and dry weather would persist over the remaining parts of the country, which include Sindh and Balochistan. Karachi's temperature was recorded at 33°C.
