Co-curricular activities help students enhance abilities

MUZAFFARGARH Co-curricular activities help students to develop and enhance abilities and talent, said Colleges Deputy Director Bashir Ahmad on Tuesday. He expressed these views at the conclusion of a debate competition held in connection with the CMs Debate, Essay-Writing and Art Competition 2011 at the Government College for Women Muzaffargarh. The debates topic at the intermediate level was Unity is necessary for our nation and at the degree level Can educational institutions provide new leadership. Students of the Princeton College, Government Degree College for Women (Kot Addu), Government Degree College for Women (Muzaffargarh) and Government College for Women (Ali Pur) participated in the contest. In the inter level contest, Zahida Parveen, Asma Naheed of Muzaffargarh and Azra Batool of Karor Lal Esan performed as judges. Safya Bibi of the Princeton College got first position, Aasya Shahzadi of the Government College for Women Kot Addu stood second and Mahnoor of the Government College for Women Muzaffargarh clinched third position. In the degree level competition, Azra Batool of Karor Laal Esan, Atya Yasmeen of Kot Sultan and Nisha Khalida of Chowk Azam adjudicated. Sadya Sabah of the Government College for Women Ali pur bagged first position, while Aqsa Sayyad of the Government College for Women Kot Addu and Ujala Seher of the Princeton College got second and third positions, respectively. A large number of students attended the competition.
