Traffic jams slow down life in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi - The citizens of Rawalpindi have urged the authorities concerned to take solid steps to avoid traffic jam problem on city roads, as the motorists travelling on city roads are witnessing nowadays the worst traffic gridlocks across the city.
Several ambulances are also seen stuck in the long traffic queues on roads. The commuters of public transport are the worst sufferers as traffic on several chowks. Traffic wardens are found absent from duty points and others made half- hearted efforts to regulate traffic. Citizens said there was a traffic chaos every where and motorists were left abandoned.
The citizens have called on the authorities to outline a comprehensive plan to solve traffic congestion in the city as heavy traffic jam on city roads especially at Center Hospital to Marrir Chowk and Pirwadhai Mor area at G.T.Road creating a lot of problems for the masses of Rawalpindi city.
Meanwhile, out of order lonely CT scan machine of all the 3 allied hospitals in Rawalpindi has added to the miseries of the patients. The poor patients are forced to resort to private laboratories which are charging them Rs 4000 to 6000 fee per test. On the other hand only Rs 2000 was charged to them on account of fee in district headquarters hospital.  The citizens have demanded of the government to provide CT scan machines to the two remaining allied hospitals immediately.
