KARACHI- Pakistan Peoples Party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has congratulated Malala Yousafzai on receiving the prestigious Liberty Medal. This latest international honor came upon the heels of Malala becoming the youngest Nobel laureate just a fortnight ago.
The Liberty Medal is awarded in recognition of outstanding efforts to secure freedom for people around the world. “Malala is the true face of Pakistan and she represents the resilience, courage and bravery of every Pakistani who is fighting terrorism on a daily basis,” said Bilawal Bhutto. “We are proud that a young Pakistani girl is the ambassador for hope and peace for children world over and fully support her in her mission to promote education,” he added.
The PPP Chairperson has already invited Malala Yousafzai to work with the Sindh Government in improving and transforming the education system. In a telephonic conversation, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was alive in the shape of Malala and added that every girl of Pakistan has the potential to become Benazir Bhutto. He said education is the best tool to eliminate extremism from society and Malala could play a pivotal role in this regard as the torch-bearer of education for each girl and boy.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said Malala Yousafzai has given hope to the entire nation and is the voice of real youth of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and Pakistan. “This daughter of Pakistan is the Ambassador of Peace and our national heroine,” he said.
