Gunman attacks PTI office

CHAKWAL - A gunman attacked the Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf City Secretariat and fired six pistol shots.
In charge PTI Pehlwan Secretariat Sheikh Khurram Shehzad told the city police that he alongwith his brother Sheikh Waqar Ali and others were in a meeting regarding distribution of party tickets for Local Bodies election when a young motorcyclist wearing a mask entered into the street of Phelwan Secretariat.
He took out the pistol and opened six shots towards Phelwan Secretariat.
Luckily the bullets hit nobody.
The attacker ran away towards Jehlum Road Chakwal.
DSP Saddar Circle Mian Muhammad Akmal, SHO City Police Station Draz Balouch and other police officials rushed to the spot and recovered three bullet shells from the site.
Police has registered a case against unknown gunman and started investigation.
The member of the Parliamentary Board PTI Sheikh Waqar Ali said in a Press conference that this incident was political oriented because PTI fielded its candidates in all the 37 Municipals Committees wards and the opponents were feeling a serious threat in the coming Local Bodies election.
He demanded immediate arrest of the attacker and foolproof security to him as the election campaign is gaining momentum.
