Political crisis: Shahbaz, Hamza calls on PM Nawaz

Lahore- Amid political turmoil in the country, meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was held at the Jati Umra today to discuss the ongoing crisis.

According to sources, the big two in ruling PML-N met to discuss the current political crisis and developments following the meeting with former president Asif Ali Zardari. Later on, PML-N junior leader Hamza Shahbaz Sharif also called on his uncle Nawaz Sharif and discussed ongoing political situation in the country.

Meanwhile Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif denied reports that the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) government was considering his resignation as a means to end the political crisis. Reports revealed that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was informed about the decision of Shahbaz Sharif's resignation from the post of Punjab chief minister during a meeting held between the two brothers at Jaati Umra.
