NANKANA SAHIB: In line with the directives of Lahore High Court (LHC) judicial bailiff rescued six family members, including father and five children from the private jail of a landlord today.

Kausar Bibi had moved LHC seeking recovery of her husband Falak Sher, a son and four daughters who have been taken hostage by an influential landlord in Nankana Sahib and were being used as forced labors.

On LHC directives a judicial bailiff along with heavy contingent of police conducted operation in a village of Nankana Sahib, during which they rescued the captive family.

However, the landlord escaped after getting prior information of police crackdown. A case has been registered against him and efforts were underway for his arrest.
