JI Ameer Siraj ul Haq resigns KPK ministry

PESHAWAR-A strong rooted politico-religious party in Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Siraj ul Haq on Wednesday resigned from senior ministry of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).

JI Ameer Siraj-ul-Haq took decision to resign from senior ministry of provincial government in KPK, where he was performing duties as Minister of Finance, since May 11 general election in 2013.

In a media statement, Sirajul Haq said he stepped down from the position of provincial minister to devote more time to his party.

He said the decision of his resignation as KP Minister was taken at JI’s Central Executive Committee’s meeting held on July 12.

The JI Amir said he slashed the province’s budget deficit by Rs4 billion during the time he served as minister. 

Sources informed that current Local Government Minister KP Inayatullah might replace Sirajul Haq as senior minister
