4 troops dead as Taliban storm FC post

QUETTA - Four FC men were killed and three others injured in a predawn attack by militants who are believed to be TTP activists in Sherani district, about 350 kilomertres west of Quetta, on Friday.
Reportedly, five troops went missing after the attack while assailants got away with arms and ammunition.
According to officials, the attackers, who are believed to be terrorists from across the provincial border (Balochistan-Fata), attacked an FC checkpoint, killing four troops and wounding another three.
Three of the deceased were identified as Subedar Habibur Rehman, Naib Subedar Shoukat Ali and Lance Naik Dost Ali.
A senior official said on condition of anonymity that the incident took place in Paswara area of Mugha Kot in Sherani district and four of FC personnel were killed while another three sustained injuries and five others went missing who were believed to have been captured by the attackers.
He said that as district administrative officials informed the provincial government that TTP men carried out the predawn attack on the FC post. The bodies were sent to their native towns.
