Comrades vow to continue Malala’s mission


SWAT - Kainat Riaz and Shazia Ramazan, classmates of Peace Ambassador Malala Yousafzai, have finally done it. President Asif Ali Zardari approved conferment of Tamgha-i-Shuja’at to Shazia Ramzan and Kainat Riaz.  Spokesperson to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar said that Shazia Ramzan and Kainat Riaz, school fellows of Malala Yousufzai, were brutally attacked by the militants while they were travelling with her in the same van.
“These girls represented the true face of Pakistan and are national assets. They had raised collective national consciousness against the barbarism of militants and extremists and their quest for knowledge despite threats had illumined the path for all,” he said.
While talking to The Nation, both girls Shazia and kainaat said that today they were very happy and they were encouraged from this announcement from the government.
The girls said that they would continue her friend mission. After the announcement of Pride of Performance from the president, not only both girls but also their relatives and locals are also very happy. Form the last few months, both effected-girls were trying to achieve Tamgha-i-Shuja’at Award but both girls were deprived of the award.
Both girls along with their families showed their deep sorrow over the government policy.
They families of both girls said that government should treat their children’s in equal way because when malala was targeted by militants at the same time their children’s were also wounded. But only, they said malala was highlighted and appreciated on international level and their children were not appreciated at any national or international level. Due to regular media reports of this incident last yesterday,  President Asif Ali Zardari announced Tamgha-i-Shuja’at for the brave girls.
