ORAKZAI AGENCY – Thunder struck three personnel of security forces of a check post in Upper Orakzi agency to death and injured five others on Saturday.
Local sources said that the incident occurred at 11:30am. The soldiers were present in their trenches when they were hit by the thunder. The injured were shifted to Combined Military Hospital Tall.
Those killed were identified as Naik Rab Nawaz, Lance Naik Ibrar and Naib Subedar Ali Khan while the injured were Sepoy Kamran, Naik Arshad Khan, Noor Muhammad and Wali Humayun. 
A heavy rain on Friday and Saturday also damaged several mud houses in various areas of Orakzai Agency.
It is worth mentioning that a couple of days back, 23 personnel of Pak Army were killed and several injured when a bus carrying them fell into a ravine in the northern area.
