‘PML-N believes in performance’

SANGLA HILL - Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Barjees Tahir has said that the PML-N believes in performance-based politics and does not indulge in politics of point scoring or revenge.
“We respect the public mandate and the government has been extending its full cooperation to provincial governments of opposition parties,” he added.  He was addressing the party office-bearers and workers  here the other day.
Barjees said that the GDP increased by 5 per cent during the first eight months of the government where as it was 3 per cent during the same period last year. An amount of Rs137 billion were saved by reducing 30 per cent budget allocation of all the ministries and divisions as well banning the use of discretionary funds by all cabinet members and the money has been utilised to pay off the circular debt, he claimed.
Barjees said that the federal government had extended its full cooperation and assistance to the Sindh government to bring under control the law and order situation in Karachi and a comprehensive internal security policy had been formulated to uproot the extremism and militancy from the country.  The minister said that the PML-N government had been utilising all resources to end loadshedding and put the economy on the track leading the country towards development and prosperity.
He urged the workers to be united and work for the betterment of the masses.
