PESHAWAR - Parents of the martyred students of Army Public School (APS) have praised the steps of civil and military leadership for elimination terrorism, and vowed to render more sacrifices for the sake of motherland and for restoration of durable peace in the country.
While speaking at a news conference at the Press Club here on Monday, Mian Amir Kakakhel, member of the APS Shuhada and Ghazi Forum, said that security forces have been scaled up their ongoing military operation in restive tribal region and killed mastermind of the Peshawar tragic attack, which is commendable.
“We are standing with the Pakistan’s military in its efforts to eliminate terrorism from across the country,” Amir said.
He vowed to pay more such sacrifices for the survival and safeguard of their land motherland. He urged the nation to support security forces to make the country the cradle of peace. Flanked by parents of the martyred students including Inamullah, and Dil Jan, Amir extended special gratitude to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, Corps Commander Peshawar Gen Hidayat ur Rehman, President, Mamnoon Hussain and Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their cooperation and support.
The Forum coordinator said that the country’s civil and military leadership gave assurance to send more abroad the survivor students of Army Public School attack for medical treatments.
Earlier, he lamented that parents of the martyred students were not invited to the Pakistan Day ceremony at Governor House Peshawar, but later on the request of the provincial government attended the function.
