NOWSHERA VIRKAN – The tormenting loadshedding up to 18 to 20 hours here in the city and adjoining areas has brought the activities of life to a standstill, simultaneously multiplying the problems of the business community.
Citizens said that such massive loadshedding was becoming intolerable in the present weather conditions.
Hours of break down was observed on Wednesday, adding to the miseries of farmers who were already coping with the hot weather conditions prevailing in the area in harvesting season.
The masses of the area have appealed to the Lesco authorities to announce a proper schedule of the loadshedding.
Walk to create awareness held: The District Health Department in the collaboration with Education Department organised a walk to create awareness regarding Mother and child week here the other day.
Former MPA Ch Abdul Rehman Gujjar inaugurated and led the walk.
On the occasion, Ch Gujjar said that these kind of activities were necessary for better health of both mother and child.
He also appreciated the Punjab government for holding such positive activates.
