HAFIZABAD – PML-N MNA Saira Afzal Tarar said the Punjab government served the people of the province during the last four and a half years and took various revolutionary measures for the welfare of the masses. She said that PML-N believed in rule of law, supremacy of the Constitution and in eliminating poverty, hunger and lawlessness. She said the PML-N was the most popular party of the country and its candidates would win with a thumping majority in the upcoming elections.Addressing a gathering at ground-breaking ceremony of rehabilitation and widening of 42-km Hafizabad-Gujranwala Road at Jinnah Chowk, she said that the government was committed to fulfil all promises made by it with the people. She said that the 42-km road had been deteriorated during the past five decades and no previous government had taken any pain to rehabilitate it. She said that the road would be completed by May 2013 at a cost of Rs1.70 billion. She said that the PPP government had plundered billions of rupees and corruption had become the order of the day. ?The country cannot prosper in the presence of such rulers?. She declared that the PML-N believed in the independence of the judiciary and all the decisions of the apex court were acceptable to it. MPAs Ch Asad Ullah Arrain, Mian Shahid Hussain Bhatti, former MPA Haji Jamshaid Abbad Thaheem, former Tehsil Nazim Mian Ansar Abbas Bhatti, Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran President Sheikh Muhammad Amjid also spoke on the occasion.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
