PTI links Nawaz’s success to drones halt

PTI President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s US visit could only be declared successful if he succeeded to get drone attacks stopped and sustained American pressure on Pak-Iran gas pipeline issue. Talking to the journalists here at Multan Airport on Wednesday, he added that Pakistan did not need anyone’s permission for holding talks with the Taliban and it should suspend the operation forthwith and launch talks without any further delay.
He categorically declared that the future in Afghanistan was of Taliban. He said that those fighting against American forces in Afghanistan favoured Pakistan while on the other hand the US preferred India on Pakistan.  To a query, he said that the government badly failed to deliver and the masses disliked PML-N and Nawaz Sharif because of price hike. He maintained that the sky-rocketing prices made the lives of poor people further miserable.
MAN KILLS WIFE FOR ‘HONOUR’: A man tortured to death his wife, mother of five, on suspicion of illicit relations in precincts of Qutabpur police on Tuesday night.  The accused namely Muhammad Tariq escaped while his brother Abdul Satter was arrested by the police. The residents of the area told police that the accused returned from Saudi Arabia a few days back and he had suspected his wife of having illicit relations with someone.  “He exchanged hot words with her (Aasia) and smashed her head with a club,” a neighbour claimed. Hospital sources said that the woman died of bleeding and injuries. Police registered a case against the accused and raids were being conducted to arrest him.
SISTERS HEAD SHAVED: Two real brothers shaved the heads of their wives, also real sisters, on a property dispute here in Kachi Saraye area. Daulat Gate police said that both the accused were arrested, though a case was not registered against them. The aggrieved women namely Samina and Shazia told police that their husbands pressured them to give them a house owned by the latter.
“When we refused to do so, they subjected us to vehement torture and shaved our heads,” they added.
