Our Staff reporter SARGODHA - The Sargodha Medical College organised daylong seminar titled IVF Technologies at MBA Hall of the University of Sargodha here the other day. UoS Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ali presided over the seminar. In his speech, he stressed the need for getting benefits from the modern technologies, which are in vogue in medical science. He further said that the people should adopt scientific way even to overcome the complication of reproductive health during and after pregnancy. Dr Muhammad Ashrad Chuhan from KE University Lahore was the special guest of the moot who delivered keynote address. He said infertility is not a disease; it is simple unexplained problem that must be addressed properly by the trained gynaecologist not by the untrained and typical persons. We should believe in research and should not follow the false and untrue tales and stories about health, he said. He said that the doctors profession need honesty and nobility and they should not run after money and wealth. Dr Chuhan said, test tube baby is an easy way to get baby but it is not complete solution of the infertility, so it should be discouraged by the Gynaecologists. Earlier, Dr Humaria Akram head of the Gyne Department of Sargodha Medical College Sargodha who was the organiser the seminar delivered her lecture on the topic. Dr Nadeem Goraya, Assistant professor KEMU, Dr Fozia Butt Assistant Professor Sharif Medical City Lahore and Dr Abdul Rehman, Principal Sargodha Medical College also delivered speeches about the topic of IVF Technologies. Faculty and students from Sargodha Medical College attended the seminar.
