Man drowns in Kabul River

KHYBER AGENCY  - Principal of a private school was drowned on Sunday into Kabul River at Kam-Shelman of tehsil Landi Kotal of Khyber Agency.
The local sources informed that Abdul Wahab son of Sabir, resident of Shiekhmal Khel, an administrator and principal of Muslim Public School along with friends went on daylong tour to the river where he drowned while swimming at the river’s bank pool.
His body was fished out of the river by the local swimmers and shifted to near Basic Health Unit (BHU) for medico-legal formalities, health official said.
Later on he was buried at his ancestral graveyard after offering his funeral.
The local tribesmen expressed their displeasure over the incident and ignorant behaviour on part of administration and said that every year in summer a number of youth lost their lives during swimming in the Kabul River.
