BJP President says Pakistan will be given befitting reply to ceasefire violations

Jammu- India will give a "befitting reply" to the repeated ceasefire violations in Jammu and Kashmir by Pakistan, BJP president Amit Shah said today
"Home Minister Rajnath Singh has clearly said that if Pakistan resorts to firing, we will definitely give a befitting reply to them," Shah said.
Amit Shah is on a visit to the RS Pura area of Jammu where he will meet villagers living close to the international border in the state. He assured the villagers who were displaced due to relentless shelling by Pakistani forces that the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) government will look into their problems, particularly of those displaced after the partition in 1947 and the 1965 and 1971 wars with Pakistan. However, he said he cannot guarantee voting rights to those who took shelter
here from the other side of the border. He also expressed hope that the BJP will form the next state government in Jammu and Kashmir.
