The local members of parliament visited the Indian shelling-hit villages Meendarwal, Thathi Khurd and Thathi Kalan here on Sunday, and expressed complete solidarity with the affected people.
MNA Armughan Subhani, MPAs Tariq Akhtar Subhani, Rana Arif Iqbal Harnah and Sufi Muhamamd Ishaq assured the local people of the early financial compensation of the damages of their properties caused by Indian shelling.
The MNA said that more than two dozens cattle heads had been killed and over 65 houses were destroyed or badly damaged in these villages by shelling. He narrated that the Indian Border Security Forces again targeted the civilian population when the people were asleep atop their houses’ roofs and in the courtyards.
He said that according to the senior officials of the Chenab Rangers, the Indian BSF used light and heavy machine guns and also fired several mortar shells. Most of these mortar shells fell in the fields but could not explode. However, he said, the spirit of the people in Indian shelling hit Sialkot border villages is very high.
He said that Pakistan had expressed grave concern over the killings of two Pakistani citizens and injury of nine others near Sialkot in the unprovoked  Indian shelling on Sialkot border villages on Sunday. He added that Pakistan had also lodged a strong protest against the Indian aggression.
