ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said the Government was committed to providing equal opportunities to the women folk in all walks of life. He further said a number of measures have been taken for the social and economic empowerment of women. Talking to women Parliamentarians, who called on him at Parliament House Chamber on Friday, He saidthe Government intended to further improve women status in the society through effective legislative measures and create congenial environment to enable them for active participation in the national development. He reiterated that women and minorities are his constituency. He said the Government had already enhanced women quota in the public sector jobs and also launched schemes to provide soft loans to the women for employment.
