Scouts urged to follow philosophy of Iqbal

ISLAMABAD Chief Commissioner Islamabad Tariq Mahmood Pirzada here on Friday visited Islamabad Boys Scouts Camps set up at the FG Boys Model School, G-7/4, and highly appreciated the discipline and hard work displayed by the young scouts. Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Tariq Mahmood Pirzada, was the special guest at the concluding ceremony of certificates distribution among the scout leaders who participated in the 5-day training of setting up scout camps. During these days, the students used to learn discipline, character building and hard work in life. While addressing the young scouts, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Tariq Mahmood Pirzada said that there was a lot of potential in the youth of today and they were very hard workers. He stressed the importance of the poetry of great philosopher and poet Dr Allama Mohammad Iqbal that has a great message for the youth. He said that the young generation could learn a lot by reading the poetry of great philosopher Dr Allama Iqbal, which taught the importance of hard work, discipline, teamwork and character building for youth. The 5-day scouts camps were organised by the Islamabad Boys Scout Association and 104 scouts from different schools of the Capital participated in these camps. Scout camp set up by the Model Boys School Jaba Taili was declared as the best camp out of 11 camps. The Chief Commissioner Islamabad also visited all the camps and congratulated the scout camp leaders for setting up camps beautifully. Earlier, when the Chief Commissioner Islamabad arrived the scouts camps, he was accorded warm welcome by the Chairperson Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dr Shaheen Khan; Principal, FG Model School; Camp Commander, Ghulam Dastaghir and Secretary Boys Scouts Association Professor Haai. In the end, the Chief Guest distributed certificates among the camp leaders scouts.
