Free medical camps

PESHAWAR - The Directorate of Health FATA organised free medical camps for Hepatitis and eye patients at FATA Secretariat here on Tuesday.
Hundreds of staffers of the FATA Secretariat, including senior officials benefited from the free services and got themselves examined in both camps.
A team of expert doctors led by renowned ophthalmologist Dr Mohammad Zubair Mehsud examined more than 220 people in the eye camp and gave valuable advices to them besides providing free medicines as well as glasses.
The patients diagnosed with cataract were referred to the Mobile Operation Theater parked in the FATA Secretariat premises where a team of Ophthalmologists conducted surgeries of three patients the same day. Not only, the cataract patients were operated upon free of cost, but were also provided costly lenses and other medicines without any charge.
Likewise the patients diagnosed with other complications such as Retinal detachment were referred to the room No 2 allocated in Leady Reading Hospital (LRH) for the FATA for further management.
