Nation celebrates Quaid-e-Azam’s 138th birth anniversary

ISLAMABAD- The 138th birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was celebrated throughout the country today.

A change of guard ceremony was held at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Karachi this morning. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, took guard responsibilities at the Mazar from Pakistan Air Force cadets.

Commandant of the Academy‚ Major General Nadim Raza laid a wreath on the grave. Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah paid visit to the mausoleum. Special programs were aired on electronic media the whole day, while newspapers published special edition highlighting the salient features of Pakistan Movement and contribution of great leaders of the country besides highlighting different aspects of Quaid's lifestyle and his teachings.

At Quaid-e-Azam’s tomb, various politicians, officers of armed forces, government officials and renowned personalities laid flower wreath during the day and a large number of people from different walks of life visited to pay him tribute and remember his services for the country.

Special seminar, walks, talk shows and discussion were organized at different government and semi-government organizations.
