Government couples Lashkar-i-Jhangvi with Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan

Lahore- According to a report published on BBC, Pakistan’s government coupled Lashkar-i-Jhangvi with Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan. Interior Ministry said in a letter sent to all provinces in the country that Lashkar-i-Jhangvi desired help from Al Qaeda but later coordinated with Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan.

According to the letter, militants may possibly hold ordinary people hostage in an attempt to free their organization’s imprisoned members.

According to our sources, Al Qaeda refused to help Lashkar-i-Jhangvi due to its engagement in Iraq and Syria. However, Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan leader Fazlullah promised to lend more support to Lashkar-i-Jhangvi.

Militants have started targeting Shias in the country after the Taliban attack on Peshawar's Army Public school in December last year.
