Student’s death sparks violent protest; two killed separately

The killing of a student sparked violent protest by students of his college and the police baton charge the protesting student to control the situation while two persons were killed a woman injured in other incidents.
According to details, two persons shot dead a youth over an old enmity here at village Peeranwala Bhamba in the remit of Kot Radha Kishan Police. The police said that deceased 18-year-old Asif Ali was standing outside his house when Tassawar Bhatti and Irfan came there. They shot at and killed him on the spot.
In Hafizabad, a villager was killed on the spot while a woman sustained critical injuries when roof his house caved-in in village Nanoana the other night.
According to villagers, Nasir Ali, a resident of Prem Kot along with his family members visited the house of his father-in-law Inayat S/o Fazal and in the night when fell asleep, the roof of the room caved in as a result of which all the persons buried under the debris. However, the villagers rushed to the spot and removed them from under the debris but Nasir Ali died on-the-post while Manzooran Bibi sustained serious injuries and was removed to hospital.
Meanwhile, in Sangla Hill, a student of Government Islamia Degree College died after falling from atop a bus here near Rakh Branch Canal Bridge in the vicinity of City Police. Zeeshan, 17, the son of a security guard of National Saving, was on the way to college when he fell down from a moving bus died on the spot. Meanwhile, a large number of students staged a protest against the incident and blocked the road for all kind of vehicular traffic. The angry students flanked by scores of local damaged public transport buses and other public property. To situation deteriorated to the situation that the police had to resorted baton charge and tear gas while the students also pelted stones on the police personnel. The hide and seek between the angry students and police continued for a long time while fire-brigade and police reinforcement were called in to rein in the protesting students.
