JAC to shut down offices tomorrow as protest against PIA privatization

KARACHI: Pakistan International Airline s (PIA) Joint Action Committee announced today that they will lock all offices from Tuesday and demanded of the government to take back PIA privatization bill.

 According to the details, Joint Action Committee’s chief Sohail baloch announced in a press conference that all PIA offices including booking centres and training centres will be locked for a week from Tuesday till February 2.

 Telling the details, he said that flight operation will continue for the time being. “We demand of the government to take back the PIA privatization bill passed by National Assembly a few days ago, if our demands were not met until February 2, the flight operation will also be stopped", he warned.

 Sohail Baloch said that they are in contact with Civil Aviation, Railway, Steel mills, oil tankers and other institutes and companies’ labour unions and in case of need they all will be with the employees of PIA.
