PAT chief calls meeting of like-minded parties today

LAHORE- Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has called a meeting of like-minded parties on Thursday.
According to sources, Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Majlis-i-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) and Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) will be attending the meeting. A ten-point agenda will be discussed during the meeting. Reports said Qadri is in contact with several political figures since he landed in Lahore from Canada amid PAT-police clashes on his homecoming. Sources said Qadri has held meetings with PPP leaders Manzoor Wattoo and Jahangir Badar and discussed a ten-point agenda pertaining to an alliance of opposition parties. On the other hand, Governor Punjab is also active to prevent formation of such an alliance.
