Islamabad: Sartaj Aziz, Advisor to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, will lead the Pakistan delegation to the 42nd Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) in Kuwait on May 27-28.
The meeting will discuss Middle East crises with special reference to Yemen and a resolution in this connection is also likely, official sources said on condition of anonymity.
They said that in informal interaction with the foreign ministers of the Muslim countries, Pakistan would also discuss the security issues in the region.
“The issue of RAW activities and role of India may be raised in bilateral interaction besides bilateral matters.”
According to the Spokesman at the Foreign Office, at the 42nd CFM, held under the theme ‘Common Vision for Promotion of Tolerance and Denunciation of Terrorism’, the OIC Foreign Ministers will discuss important challenges facing the Muslim Ummah. The meeting will also adopt resolutions related to issues of importance to Pakistan.
The Advisor will also hold a number of bilateral meetings with the OIC Foreign Ministers, an official statement said.
