Punjab plans schools’ wellbeing with Rs210m

SIALKOT
The Punjab government has released a budget of Rs210 million for the provision of furniture and other missing facilities in as 1,000 government schools in Gujranwala Division.
According to the senior officials, the government has released Rs51 million for Sialkot district, Rs28 million for Narowal district, Rs50 million for Gujrat district, Rs27 million for Mandi Bahauddin district, Rs15 million for Hafizabad district and Rs55 million for Gujranwala district for the purpose. The managements of these schools have sent the details about the missing facilities in their schools to the senior high-ups.
TRAINING COURSE: The Rescue 1122 Sialkot imparted training of the emergency services to the students during one-week training session held at Govt College Women University Sialkot here.
Vice Chancellor Dr Farhat Saleemi supervised the training session. District Emergency Officer (DEO) Syed Kamal Abid said that training of emergency services to the students was the demand of the day, which could help the students meet any emergency in their educational institution or even in the society.
Meanwhile, Punjab Emergency Services Rescue 1122 has successfully launched a week-long internal training course “Pak-US Fire Protection and Safety” for the rescuers in Sialkot. The training course was held at Central Rescue Station, Rescue 1122 Sialkot here.
Kamal Abid said the course content was hazardous materials, fire protection and detection system, wild fires and the general safety measures for the First Responders (the rescuers) as per the international fire safety standards. The first batch of 12 rescuers has successfully completed the training course. The appreciation certificates were distributed to the course participants.
