BAHAWALNAGAR - A feud over passageway claimed two lives and left three injured here in the remit of Takht Mahal Police the other day. According to detail, two armed groups of Joyias locked in a shootout over a passageway dispute. The ugly episode started when Mohammad Sharif, his son Mumtaz and nephew Bukhtiar of Yasinka group were on their way to home when the rival group forbade them not to pass through their land. After exchange of harsh words, the former opened fire which resulted in gunshot wounds to Zafar Iqbal and Shabir and Riaz Ahmad who were working there. While Mumtaz and Bukhtiar also sustained injuries in the shootout. The injured were removed to District Headquarters Hospital Bahawalnagar where Zafar succumbed to his wounds. The news of his death provoked his group (Allah Ditta Bhoreka) and they forcibly entered emergency ward of the DHQ and killed injured Mumtaz, son of Sharif, with repeated blows of drip stand. The City Police led by SHO Maqbool Tatla rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. The Takht Mahal Police and City Police registered cases against both the rival groups. Meanwhile, A youth committed suicide over a domestic dispute here in Bahawalnagar the other day. According to detail, a youth namely Rashid, son of Ramzan, a resident of Islamnagar Colony was annoyed over his domestic affairs. In a fit of depression he ended his life by taking poisonous wheat pills. Youth axes father to death:A domestic dispute led to the death of father in the Minchinabad Police precincts here the other day. According to detail, a youth namely Abbas, a resident of Chak Munshi Hattar axed his father Ahmad Din to death over a domestic dispute.
