ISLAMABAD- Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz says Pakistan is fully responding Indian firing along the Line of Control (LoC).
He was talking to newsmen in Islamabad today after enquiring about the health of the JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. Sartaj Aziz said Pakistan's desire for peace should not be taken as its weakness. “We are making efforts at international level to make the UN Military Observers Mission more active,” he said.
Sartaj Aziz said the government will send emissaries and delegations to different countries to inform them about the Indian aggression on the Line of Control and human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir by the Indian forces.
He said Pakistan is highlighting human rights violations by the Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir where India has deployed seven hundred thousand troops to suppress Kashmiris.
The advisor on foreign affairs said India wants to resolve the Kashmir dispute in its own way and Pakistan will not allow this Indian attempt to succeed. He said UN resolutions on Kashmir cannot be ended in this way.
Sartaj Aziz said terrorism has been contained in Karachi due to targeted operation launched last year. To a question, he said backlash of the ongoing military operation in North Waziristan is not so intense but there is need to strengthen actions on military and intelligence level.
Speaking on the occasion, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said we have to foil conspiracies of spreading anarchy in the country.
