KHYBER AGENCY - Security forces have foiled a bid of terrorism by recovering 240kg explosives concealed in a car parked in the Landi Kotal Bazaar, official sources informed on Friday.
Sources said that on tip off security forces searched a suspected Alto Mehran car (BH-874) parked on Landi Kotal-Torkham Road in the main bazaar.
During search, they said, huge cache of explosives was recovered concealed by unknown militants in eight ghee canes kept inside the car.
They said that immediately Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was summoned which defused the heavy intensity bombs after an hour of hectic efforts. Later, the car was shifted to forces cantonment for investigation.
