Mere face swapping to make no difference

MULTAN - Deputy Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Rao Zafar Iqbal said on Monday that merely swapping faces would make no difference and the people would have to replace existing entire political leadership with honest and God fearing leaders. Talking to the journalists here at local JI office, he warned people to contribute their share in bringing about the change otherwise existing leaders would plunge the country in darkness. He asked the voters to utilize their power for bringing forth honest representatives instead of voting for already tried faces. He disclosed that the JI had launched a door-to-door mass contact campaign in connection with upcoming elections. He said that his party would fully participate in the election and come into power with public support. He said that the rulers did nothing to resolve publics problems as a result of which people were forced to commit suicides. Problems like price hike, unemployment, lawlessness, drone attacks, loadshedding and other crises have made the lives of citizens highly miserable, he added. He pointed out that the MNAs and MPAs obliged their favourites only and neglected rest of entire constituency as a result of which majority of masses were faced with severe problems. RALLY TO CREATE AWARENESS ON MALARIA: The citizens, health officials and NGO workers brought out a joint rally to create awareness among masses on malaria here on Monday. The walk started from Health office and participants marched up to Chowk Kuchtery. They were also holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans highlighting the hazards of malaria. Speaking on the occasion, EDO Health Dr Inamul Haq said that malaria was a dangerous disease that could take human life if not treatment timely. He said that the citizens had to adopt precautionary measures to avoid dengue attack. He suggested to the citizens to spray their homes with mosquito killer medicines and make special efforts for keeping environment clean. He asked them to ensure disposal of all kinds of water as any water pond could play as a breeding place for the mosquitoes.
