OUR STAFF REPORTER SAMBRIAL - Eid shopping is gaining momentum here as rush of families especially women and children is being observed in all the bazaars and markets here. Business activities which seem very slumpy during the last a few days have started touching their peak. Special stalls of Henna, ornaments, bangles and readymade garments add colours to the Eid festivities at all the main bazaars and markets. The rush of women was witnessed at the bangles stalls where they were busy in matching stuff with their Eid dresses. There were many that wanted to have even the matching shoes and ornaments to celebrate. As tailors have stopped having orders for the Eid clothes, the activities at the readymade garments have become the main feature. Men, women and children can easily be found purchasing ready made garments for their Eid days in the city. There are hundreds of main bazaars in the tehsil but a few of them are able to provide desired items regarding Eid shopping. These are Sambrial and Main bazaars. The former is known as the best shopping place in the city. Special Eid bazaars where makeshift stalls took place are also being witnessed in different areas. However, new technologies have diminished importance of traditional things like cards as the people prefer to wish Eid through internet or SMS. Even then a few stalls of Eid cards were also seen at some markets. Simultaneously, security measures have also been taken to protect all these business and shopping points. The station house officers concerned have been asked to ensure deployment of policemen at al these places to avoid theft or robbery incidents.
