Rude cops to be dealt with sternly

OUR STAFF REPORTER NANKANA SAHIB - The Punjab inspector general of police accompanied by the regional police officer paid surprise visits to the police lines and the Sadder police station here on Thursday. Directing the police officials to improve their attitude during his visit to the police station, he warned that strict action would be taken against those cops who would not listen to the complaints of citizens appropriately. He further instructed the police officials to ensure safety and security of the public to realise them that they are being protected and respected by the police. Surprising the other police officials with his sudden visit to the police lines, IGP Javeed Iqbal told the media that all the available sources would be used for the betterment of police personnel. He appreciated the financial assistance provided by the citizens for the construction of 15 building in the city. He also said that funds for the district would be obtained from the Punjab government soon.
