NAB arrests three accused

Islamabad: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has arrested three accused, on charges of depriving public of Rs29.3 million.
The alleged accused, identified as Saeed Ashraf, Qayyum Safdar and Asif Mehmood have been accused of depriving the public of their capital by tempting them to invest in their LCD business, in return for huge profits, however, they did not any profit in return, said a press release issued by NAB Islamabad today.
The cheques issued by the accused to the investors also bounced, the NAB said. More than 20 complaints against the accused had been lodged with the authority.
The accused were also produced before an accountability court in Lahore and the suspects have been given into NAB custody, on a 14-day physical remand.
