Colourful event at PNCA

ISLAMABAD (APP) - Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) and Ministry of Culture organized colorful cultural programmes for Children to celebrate the 134th birth anniversary of Father of Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah here on December 25. A large number of Students form Islamabad and Rawalpindi participated in various events featuring national songs, folk dances, spot painting, puppet show, exhibition and tableaus to highlight the life long struggle of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah during Pakistan Movement. One this occasion a film 'Jinnah was also screened for visitors, depicting the life of the Father of Nation, his teachings for young generation and his principles to lead the nation. Besides, a stage play , Charagh was also presented to create awareness to eliminate terrorism. Children took keen interest in puppet show, the theme of the show was Pakistans movement. Talking to APP, Director General PNCA Tauqeer Nasir said the events were planned to promote the message of peace and harmony among the people and guide the young generation with the principles of Quaid who united all sects of Muslims during Pakistan movement to get a separate homeland for them. He said that PNCAs programmes were planned with a focus on young generation to educate them through entertainment and arts.
