SUKKAR: Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Syed Khurshid Shah has said that Narendra Modi visit to Pakistan is a good omen and Nawaz Sharif should take parliament and political leadership of Pakistan into confidence on the talks held between him and Modi.
“Peace is needed in the region. Narendra Modi visit to Lahore is good omen in this respect. Betterment has come in ties between Pakistan and India in the wake of this visit. It will be far good if both Pakistan and India improve the matters by holding issue to issue talks.” He said.
“Such visits take place as per set schedule and not all of a sudden. Had talks between Nawaz Sharif and Narendra Modi been scheduled it would have been far better . PM Nawaz Sharif should take on board parliament and political leadership on the talks held between him and Modi”, he stated this while talking to media men here at his residence Saturday.
He criticized ruling party on Pakistan joining Saudi led military alliance and expressed his concern over non inclusion of 4 countries in this alliance.
Reacting to issuance of notification by interior ministry on Sindh Rangers powers he said it seems that Nawaz Sharif’s consent is also included therein.
