CHANGA MANGA - The Chunian Police claimed to have captured 14 dangerous criminals of “Odh” gang involved in cases of dacoities, snatching, car-lifting, attempted murder and murder.
Kasur DPO Syed Khurram Ali Shah made the claim while addressing a press conference here in Changa Manga Rest House on Wednesday. He brought all arrested dacoits in front of media and pointed out that in fact they were three gangs, - “Shakoor alias Shakoori Odh Gang”, “Shoukat alias Shoki Odh Gang” and “Rashid Gang”. The police also recovered nine 30-bore pistols, 12-bore guns, rifle 44 bore, repeater 12 bore, rifle 7mm, a large number of bullets, 7 cellphones and 3 cars. The recovered booty worth is estimated to be about Rs4.1 million. The DPO claimed that during preliminary investigation, the culprits had confessed two murders and a number of robberies, adding that these gangs were inter-provincial gangs. The DPO elaborated that on the special directions of DIG Sheikhupura Range Dr Arif Mushtaq, a special party comprised of Chunian DSP Shabbir Warraich and the Chunian Saddar Police SHO carried out a raid in Sarai Mughal area and managed the arrest of the culprits. The DPO announced cash prizes and shields for the personnel of the raiding party.
