DERA GHAZI KHAN
On 73rd day of their journey to Islamabad, the participants of long march for the recovery of Baloch missing persons will reach here on Sunday morning (today).
According to details, on Saturday the sons of various Baloch tribe chiefs welcomed the participants of the long march near Aaliwala on Indus Highway, some 20-km from here, including former tehsil nazim Sardar Mohammad Usman Buzdar, former union nazim Sardar Jaffar Khan Buzdar and Sardar Abdul Qadir Khan Khosa along with a large number of tribal elders and other dignitaries. They expressed solidarity with Voice of Baloch Missing Persons Chairman Mama Qadir Baloch and other participants including a number of women and children.
On the occasion, talking to the newsmen Mama Qadir Baloch said that they had attached expectations to the government for justice. He, however, regretted that the practice of throwing mutilated bodies of the missing persons was not stopped yet which reflected the non-serious attitude of the government. Mama Qadir regretted Baloch population was still deprived of fundamental rights and basic facilities.
He informed that they would present their memorandum regarding the missing persons to the UN mission in Islamabad.
It is to be noted that the long march participants will arrive at Pul Dot Dera Ghazi Khan Sunday morning where a large number of Baloch leaders as well activists of human right organisations will welcome them.
Later on, the convoy will leave for Muzaffargarh.
