FCR no solution to Fata issues, says Siraj

KHYBER AGENCY - Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Sirajul Haq, has said that the Frontier Crime Regulation (FCR) is not the solution to the Federally Administer Tribal Areas (FATA) people's issues, which have been implemented in the areas during the British regime.
He said that JI has rejected the draconian law of British era and always protested against this inhuman law.
He said this while talking to media men during his brief visit to Landi Kotal to condole with JI leader Abdur Rauf Shinwari on his father's death.
"In this modern time the elders of FATA should be given responsibility to find a way to live under a proper system," the JI Ameer remarked, adding that there was not a proper judiciary system in FATA to make possible the accountability of officials and departments working in FATA.
Siraj urged that there should be a proper checks and balances system in FATA to investigate the income being generated from various sources in FATA.
The JI Ameer said that people living in FATA were deprived of basic health, education and other life facilities as available to the other citizens of Pakistan. He said even potable water was unavailable for the people of FATA.
The JI Ameer also said that Jamaat-e-Islami believes in equal distribution of resources among people and has always fought for the rights of common men.
He criticized the government saying that Islamic seminaries should be separated from terrorism adding that those individuals.
