Former CJ’s bullet proof vehicle case: SC seeks reply from federal govt

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) has sought reply from federal government over providing a bullet-proof vehicle to former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, within 24 hours.
Three-member bench headed by Justice Saqib Nisar heard the case. The petitioner appeared before the court and said that the former CJP entered into politics and now he is head of a political party and possess a bullet-proof car, which is against law and constitution. The petitioner pleaded the court to issue directives to take back the vehicle from former CJP. The apex court sought reply from Ministry of Law and Justice and adjourned the hearing.
