LAHORE: Assistant Inspector General Shahzada Sultan on Tuesday said that 96 percent of the missing children run away from their homes due to family issues and clashes for different reasons.
While addressing a press conference in Child Protection Bureau headquarters, AIG said that 20 percent of the children that go missing actually don’t know their residence location and thus do not return.
He said that 41 of the missing children are yet to return to their homes. 40 percent of the children run away from their homes owing to parental strictness, she said.
More than ten children were presented before the media at the conference.
The children said that Child Protection Bureau and Punjab Police rescued them and reunited with their families.
